This Privacy Policy describes how e-ALES (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application for ALES exam preparation. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, username, optional phone, profile photo.
  • Authentication: email/password or sign-in via Google / Apple (as provided by those services).
  • Usage data: tests taken, scores, statistics, in-app preferences.
  • Device data: device model, OS version, app version, language, crash logs, IP address (server logs).
  • Push token: Firebase Cloud Messaging device token if you allow notifications.
  • Advertising & analytics: Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics (subject to their policies; ads may be disabled for premium users).
  • Purchases: in-app purchases are processed by Google Play / App Store; we do not store payment card details.

2. How we use data

  • Provide and improve the App (questions, mock exams, analytics, social features)
  • Authenticate users and sync progress across devices
  • Send notifications (with your consent)
  • Verify subscriptions and premium features
  • Security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance

3. Third-party services

We may use:

  • Hosting and API infrastructure (e.g. e-kpss.com e-ALES API)
  • Google: Firebase (auth, analytics, messaging), Google Sign-In, AdMob
  • Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store purchase validation

These providers have their own privacy policies. Data may be processed in Turkey or abroad where required to operate the service.

4. Retention

We retain data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we aim to delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where law requires retention.

5. Your rights

Depending on applicable law (including Turkish KVKK where relevant), you may request access, correction, deletion, or objection to processing. Contact us at verybigbold@gmail.com.

6. Children

The App is intended for exam candidates, generally adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

7. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, and industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

We may update this policy. The current version will be posted on this page.
